Personal statement

Mr Bingquan Wang is a PhD candidate in the Department of Naval Architecture, Ocean, and Marine Engineering at the University of Strathclyde. His research focuses on cutting-edge simulation techniques, including peridynamics, to address complex mechanical challenges such as multiphase flow modelling, thermomechanical analysis, and the behaviour of marine structures under extreme conditions. 

An active member of the engineering community, Mr Wang has presented his research at prestigious international conferences. In addition to his research, Mr Wang is dedicated to STEM outreach and mentorship, inspiring the next generation through his role as a STEM Ambassador.
